Another blogger mentioned the Hunger Site so today I went to check it out. The
Hunger Site uses sponsors and advertising revenue to provide food for the hungry
via Mercy Corps, Feeding America (formerly America's Second Harvest),
and Millennium Promise. According to the site, 220,000 individuals from
around the world visit the site each day. Since its inception,
visitors at The Hunger Site and shoppers at The Hunger Site store have
given more than 856 million cups of food.
The Hunger Site was just the
beginning, and other similar sites using "click revenue" have been
created with the same purpose. So during my site visit, I was
able to help empower a women, help Americans get back to work, supported the needy, give stay-at-home parents more credit, and helped stop lenders from profiting off the unemployed.
